Default Copper header gaskets

Are copper header gaskets really good?I just bought a new set of pacesetter lts and they came with copper gaskets,I have always used fel-pro and have never had leaks on other small blocks.

^+1 that copper gasket spray is good stuff, put it on two different cars with gaskets that came with the headers (bbk lt's and mac mid's)

from my experience copper header gaskets really suck. 5 out of 8 cylinders leaked even after retorquing after heat cycles. I use Mr Gasket

Never had much luck with paper.
Percy's aluminum worked well with the locking bolts ... at least for a while.
I think I'm going to try copper this time around.

Stockers or Felpro, never had any problems with blow outs or anything...

I do use locking header bolts all the time though (even if its other people, I make them get em' ), that could also help...

I've had the same copper gaskets that came with my Pacesetter lt's for about 15,000 miles now and still no leaks. Way better than paper imo.
