yeah thanks... and yea im looking at one.... it a vortech V1... just making sure it is a good supercharger....... does anyone know the numbers of that with a stock lt1?

high compression, hyperutectic pistons, stock rotating assembly unfortunately doesn't = longevity for most
there are some guys here that have been able to make a stock lt1 live on boost for a long time but i would probably say the majority have had problems

yea man i will.... but for now want to just do this... i dont have the money for a forge kit and pistons... but im sure down the road when i get bored with it ill forge it and run more boost...

As long as your motor isn't an extremely high mileage motor, and it has been taken extremely good care of, you should be fine to run it on the lowest boost setting. I would get a compression test done before you do anything.
