killed it
well after a really long time of frustraion i tore the motor out and discovered i had spun all the rod bearings and two of the the crank bearings. Believe it or not i had oil pressure for about 5 min then it would start to fail and on top of that no knock. so know i need to decide wether to rebuild this or change over to a old school 350. if i rebuild i will go 355 forged pistons reground and polished crank and trued up stock rodswith a bigger cam to compliment the LE2 heads. if not ill go old school. still a small block but with out the opti and tuning frustrations of a new LT1. Any one have any suggestions or recommendations. i can rebuild what i got for roughly 2 grand. Had anyone put a older style motor in thier cars. Do the headers fit, or is it worth it to stick with the LT1. Let it be known this will be a track car. I appreciate suggestions on everything from converting my motor toa carb and standard dist to swaping to keeping what i got as long as it stays within the 2-3 grand range. Thanks

I spun my main bearing and had great oil pressure and still drove..just a slight knock...noticeable loss in power though and every now and then a drop in pressure...
I say rebuild it..its what I did and there is nothing like hearing that LT1 turn over for the first time..prob save you some headache as well...the 350 old school is a lil bit of a headache to get in these cars...can be done..but just a headache in my opinion
