Pacesetters long tubes have been the best headers for around that price for some time, but there could be something new on the market im not aware of.

If you just want the headers LPP has lt's stepped for 425 and if you want y too they have lt's and o/r y for 550. These will last you, but you probably won't find anything that is gonna last near as long if you're only gonna put out 400 for lt's and y pipe.

True, it all depends on how the car is driven though. If its daily driven through the rain/snow then those headers are going to be hurting real quick. If you garage it and dont use it everyday, then they last quite awhile... But not everyone has that option.

If you have 400 I would do the above, either save the 550 for the nice LPP headers or Pacesetters for slightly less.

Just try not to hit any roads that are under water, if they arent stainless then try not to get them wet. Its impossible to stop but there are ways of prolonging the life of them.

Snow is another story, but my old TA encountered snow a couple times (as much as I hate to admit it, because the Hawk gets "royal treatment" with the garage year round) and those Pacesetters with the coating started rusting over pretty quick. It will happen with any brand, the key is to just try to take it easy and not kick stuff up all over them on those bad days.

Save up, steal, or borrow the extra 150 and do yourself a favor. Forget the PS Lts and grab some LPPs and ory while you can. 550 is the shipped price. Worth every penny. I actually dont think there is a better set on the market no matter how much they cost.
Basically the same as Kooks stepped headers, but made of better Stainless and will last forever.

New Era Performance has Coated pasesetter headers for 379.95 and noncoated pasesetter headers for 269.95 . Their ORY is $129.95 . (I bought mine from New Era)

Both of those dont come with all the emissions crap though..

Pasesetters are by far the best bang for the buck. I got a set of coated ones on my 94 Formula.

425 for just the headers. You pay 50 for shipping in the ebay add so that would be 500 with the Y if you went that route.

Nothing wrong with the pacesetters but 425 for a set of stainless, stepped longtubes is hard to beat.
