Well then call this your 1st. +, i bought my Z with a Granatelli on it allready, its been working fine for 4+ years, NOW, not to say its great or anything, or even suggest it adds HP, I don't believe it does, but i did find out "from a reputable tuner" that it leans out the AFR, i'm looking into getting a stock piece to compare, just like the Hypertech being "so called" junk, mine was in service for 5 yrs. & NO issues, now i've wen't back to the stock tune & sold off the Hypertech, car still feels great, alittle richer, but feels really good, i'll see if it looses or gains anything, as for the Gran MAF, DON'T buy it, its NOT worth what they ask for them, WAY over priced, put your $$$$ elsewhere.

When I go for a dynotune though, the stocker is going back in.
Edit: I don't know if GMTHP or Camaro Performance(whatever that magazine is called) or anycase, one of the mags did a test with the Granatelli MAF, and it did pick up around 10 at the wheels. Do magazines have a agenda to sell parts? Who knows, I didn't know better and bought the thing years ago, I suppose I could have spent the money elsewhere.

Surprise! I've ran a Grantelli MAF for over 3 years with no issues now, on the dyno A/F wasn't lean.

You simply dont need it for horsepower reasons, which this is what was asked. I cant understand why anyone would need to change it (unless of course as described above, your pushing something in the area of 550-600hp). Even then I think its a question of flow and not tuneability (not totally sure on that though, a tuner would have to chime in).
If you want 10hp for that price, sure... If you bought the car with it and it works, even better.

I tried one years ago, lost 9 rwhp. Mine is at the dump.
