Default OPTI pigtail bad??

I have a 97 LT1 in a chevelle. I have replaced the opti, coil, crank sensor, PCM, plug and wires. Not sure what else to do. Had the computer tuned and it is showing P0336 (crank sensor), P1331. It was showing crank codes before I replaced the computer. Replaced the sensor still showing code. Need major help.

Crank sensor isnt the opti.

I think the crank sensor is the sensor in the bottom of the timing cover on 97s

Correct me if im wrong tho.

sounds like the pigtail to me, I had a similar problem, replaced the coil and the crank sensor hoping it would fix it, but then I used that as an excuse to buy a MSD opti and that worked since it just replaces that whole harness.

you can find cheap delphi pigtails on ebay or check on summit

The opti pigtail is the long slender plug that plugs into the top passenger side of the opti. I have heard that this can cause problems like the one I am having. I am not sure what else to change. I have changed just about everything electrical. I have a S&P harness. The opti pigtail was the only thing I used off the old wiring harness.

LT1 , the P0336 indicates the crankshaft position pulses (CPS) and the Camshaft position pulses (OPTI low resolution signal) are out of synchronization a missing or crappy signal from either would cause the problem, or a bad timing chain, etc. Also a missing opti low res may also throw a P0323 or P1371 and cause some performance issues. You OP listed a P1331 are you sure of that one ? If you are looking for a harness this is a fairly new source.. http://www.lsxtune.com/shop/product_...roducts_id/928 good price, never tried the product so can not give any review...

I believe it was a P1371. I know that I did have a bent female end in the opti plug. I straightend it out but beginning to think that may be haunting me. The motor has less than 90,000 on it.
