Default stock rotating assemblies

hi there just wondering how much power the factory crank and rods in a lt1 350 (1995) can handle...with being resized and turned and arp rod bolts and arp main studs. being at a safe point.. thanks matt

500 rwhp is about the max "safe" range for a stock bottom end LT1. Anything past this point is really, in my opinion just luck. It will hold, no doubt, but its a ticking time bomb, and its only a matter of time before something would let go. I wouldn't waste money on resizing the rods and using ARP bolts in them, if you are going that fat might as well by a set of eagle or scat rods and some decent forged pistons.

A good tuneup can make or break a stock bottom end car. The stock parts are much more sensitive to detonation than quality forged parts are. Detonation is what gets them usually. RPM and past maintenance also come into play.

Agreed, detonation with FI of any sort will kill a stock bottom end in no time at all.
