Hey guys, i just got back from taking my car out for a spirited drive...when im cruising at about 35 to 40 mph and i slowly accelerate, not enough to make it down shift, i am hearing some detonation. What could be causing this? I have never had a prob with that before with this car. any help?

Cant see how there is any chance of real detonation based on that unless the tune is a mile off or if there is an insane amount of carbon buil on the pistons.

Do you have a way to scan it for knock counts?

wait, my wife drove it the other day...she said she put some gas in it...i bet she put in 87. Its tuned for 93...could that make it detonate?
