Default Another stock ten bolt falls

Well, everyone said my stock rear was on borrowed time and it finally happend. Today at Esta safety park I got off two decent runs in a row but on my third it it spun hard shifting into third (a4) and then started vibrating pretty bad. I was hoping it was in the brakes or calipers but after pulling the rear cover off I found all the teeth from the pinion.
What rear end should I get? Who has good prices on bolt in rear axles?
Thanks guys!

don't go with another 10 bolt unless you like to **** money away

i'd go 12 bolt or 9" depending on your mods and what you plan to mod

12 bold should be sufficient for an A4...you can pack quite a lot of horsepower into that car and the rear will be stable. 9" is probably a bit stronger and seems to be recommended for M6 guys or people with BIG HP. this is just based on the little I know. Moser make a good 12 bolt so does Strange and Ford makes the 9". sorry and good luck.

Dana 60 or 9" Dana is about indestructible and 9" is very strong and easier to work on. Can't really go wrong with either one, depends on what you prefer. I personally will likely never have a 12 bolt. It's a slightly oversized 10 bolt.

The newest product I have seen is the M9 by moser, it is a complete torque arm assembly and housing fabbed specifically for the 4th gen. Price wise it is very competitive with the S60 and 12 bolt setups. No matter what one you decide the price is going to be at or slightly over 2k.

A 12 bolt rear is the lightest. The 9 inch is heavier and the S60 way heavier than that.

The 12 bolt will transfer the most power due to having less parasitic loses, on the average of 3% less loss.

You won’t find a 9 inch with the ABS pickup for our three channel cars.

Unless you’re making like 700 and up wheel horsepower, the 12 bolt is plenty strong. Going over 1,000 RWHP? Only then you’ll need that S60. Otherwise, it’s just not worth the weight penalty.

We’ve read many times here how Moser rears need final assembly and painting. The Strange rears are ready to bolt in. At the racetrack, Strange is what you’ll see in "the big" cars.

Go with the Strange 12 bolt.

Thanks Guys!
Im leaning heavy torward the strange 12 bolt. The car isnt going to have abs much longer so that isnt as much of a concern as weight and parasitic losses.
My car doesnt make alot of hp so every little bit helps.
