Its forged but also made by speed pro, how much do you think or has anyone have solid proof of what it will take to break this?

Being a $34 piston I would not be doing anything crazy with it. Maybe 250 if you like to live dangerously.

lol truthfully I coulnt tell ya but I have heard some horror stories with that piston melting up, but then the people would go buy another piston and do it all over again. Others just have bad luck and never recover.

The 2256s hold up pretty well with a goood amount of spray! I used them on quite a few builds from std small chev. L98 and Lt1 good economical choice i also used the 2491s for my 383 builds and my 468 had 2349s... not bad for a piston under 300.00 a set!

Now,the amount of spray your piston can handle is relative to the ring gap,the tension of rings, piston material and more importantly your TUNE and FUEL DELIVERY

On a good tuneup I don't see 250-300 being a problem really. Obviously they aren't the best slugs, as they are heavy, but they hold up fairly well for a cheap piston. I personally ran the wiseco's for only a few hundred dollars more with good luck.

Melted 3 ring lands on 200 shot of spray. Spend the money and get a good set of pistons. Also those pistons weigh approx 660 grams each. My Mahle forged pistons weigh 475 grams each. Much faster reving.

How was your tuneup on the 200 jets, sounds like it might've been too rich.

Those pistons will take a good beating if the tune is right. Negitives are they are a stock style wrist pin not a floating wrist pin, and the weight. I wouldnt go much above 250-300 simply because the stock style wrist pin. The shock of Nitrous is very hard on them.

if you know what your doing, i would say they will handle a 300-400 shot.... if you are like most people, they will handle a 150 shot. lol
