It's a Stock Eliminator car, so yes it's still an LT1.

These cars impress me more than about any other car on the internet. They go faster with more stock parts than anybody. Heads can't be ported. Cam has to have factory LIFT specs, factory intake manifolds, etc. These cars are some of the most efficient cars out there. Engine, converter, gear, tire, and chassis are all optimized.

Probably b/c most of the those S/E guys are running a FAST setup and are spinning the ****, out of their setup...At least the past few S/E guys that I've talked to are.

funny,i was reading that last article and it was talking about underdrive pulleys. When i first put the lt1 in my car i kept my original manual steering in my car. Then got tired of turning the wheel....lazy,i know lol, so i went out to the junkyard and got me a steering box and converted over to power steering. Well before i put it in i had an underdrive pulley, i didnt see much of a difference so i sold it and put the stock pulley back on. I wish i woulda kept it cuz the power steering definitely made a noticeable drag on the motor.every little bit counts..and wow i never thought about the oil in rear being heated up..those are some good tricks...just makes you never want to beat on your car unless its warmed up..lol

I've seen that car run here in Oklahoma, it looks the same as the photo with the wheels up.

i remember seeing a 84 IROC Stock Eliminator with a carbed 305 on thirdgen that ran deep into the 11's if not high 10's. IMO the 305 is the worst V8 GM has ever produced and those times are amazing with the small bore and valves. i will try to find a link to that car.

last year at the gator nationals me and my friends stayed late to watch and when he told me the motors are in stock form i almost took a **** in my pants and he was telling me he is running 10.3 and lifts the tires off the ground about 4 feet i didn't believe it until i saw it i was impressed its pretty sad their cam lift and lsa are crappy compared to my cc306 but they are aloud to play around with the duration a little bit.

S/E = badass racecar
