Question for you LT1 Guys
So I have been a LS1 guy now since 2000. My brother has had a LT1 now for a few years and has been beggin me to get one for sometime and build an engine with him. So, I just picked up a 95 LT1 and before I start building the engine
I pose you this question. Knowing that LT1's need air, does anyone or does any company or eldelbrock make a victor jr intake for the LT1 with fuel injector slots for a intake elbow conversion? I wanted to see if there was any types of carburated intake set-ups like the victor jr out there where there is fuel injector rails or fuel injector slots. I wanted to go with an intake like that and a intake elbow converted to a 78mm throttle body or fast 90mm throttle body.
Thanks

Yep edelbrock makes a victor e that most guys use for the single plane conversions. Ive got one going on my setup. Its not a direct bolt-on though, either the heads or the intake has to be converted.
I had my heads converted from LT1 bolt pattern to the vortec bolt pattern to match the intake.
Now if your setup will benefit from it...thats another question.

Yep. To be frank, although they were good for their time the LT1 heads flow **** compared to most modern stuff. Great ported heads is the key to power, so make sure a reputable shop like LE or AI work their magic on them.

Heads & cam, thats the key & where the most power will come from, even with a stock bottom end, if done right can be worth over 100 HP, can't get that from any other part of an engine, unless you run a power adder.

well if you do pp heads(LE3) with a 396/383 forged bottom end with good stuff or even a nicely done 355 with a nice custom grind cam, pp intake to 58mm, nice ignition system, 37lb racetroniks injectors, and you know some good headers and the supporting other usuall mods you could put down anywhere from 500-700 without any power adder...it could go up with power adders!!! depends how far you want to go..ltxs have big potential!!
