Default My clutch is going, i have questions

my clutch is slipping pretty bad, and to avoid getting stranded, i'm gonna replace it this week and i have a question. since i need a new trans as well, would it be advantageous to do them both at the same time? or are they independent of one another. or let me word it differently, can i replace just the trans later, or would i need to change the slave with the new trans? thanks guys

well in order to change the clutch you have to take out the trans anyways... so putting it back in, only to take it back out again hardly seems worth it to me..
