Default Does your Textralia clutch rattle?

My Textralia OZ-700 rattles. At idle, with my foot off the clutch, it sounds like marbles in a tin can. Sometimes its worse than other times.

I spoke to the Textralia rep about this and he's never heard of this before. He's knows that the twin disk rattles, but he's never heard of anyone ever complaining about the single disk clutch rattling.

Does yours?

Not sure I'm following you. At idle when stopped, if I lift my foot off the pedal I hear a rattle from the clutch. It kind of sounds like marbles in a tin can being swooshed around. I don't feel anything move.

You need to check that thing right away for missing/loose bolts and/or parts.

Thanks. Car's apart right now. Clutch doesn't look bad.

I know exactly what you're talking about. Mine does the same thing.

I was just saying that mine moves but it doesn't make any noise or anything. Yeah i'd prolly make sure all the bolts and everything are tight like what was said above!!

Yes, mine does, yes it was installed correctly and all bolts are tight. I emailed Textralia about this but haven't gotten a response yet.

I have the same clutch as you do. Mine prolly has about 700 miles on it. My car is storage so i am not driving it anymore. But anyways, mine chatter a little bit durning the break in period. So to get rid of the chatter i read to do some 2nd and 3rd gear take offs. Put it in 2nd or 3rd gear, take off faster than normal. Do it about 3 times and it worked for me and got rid of chatter

Hope this helps

Yeah mine does the same, but 2 years later it's still working fine. I think its related to the throwout? If I turn the engine off like that, it rattles a nasty one. The idle rattles can be reduced when I slowly let out the clutch in neutral. It seems to help balance things. Try it!
