Default Another help me deceide thread....

Alright so broke the transmission in the car. I knew it was bound to break eventially because it was sometimes getting harder and harder to power shift into second.. i felt i had to fight it put it in gear. Well finally broke 2nd gear and here is my question.

Do I A) Fix the transmission (rebuild)

or

Do I B) Buy a beater car and just let the ta sit for a bit until i save enough money, keeping miles off of it.

I have about 1100 to spend on either trying to rebuild the transmission or to buy a beater car. i am worried that if I rebuild the transmission the next thing to go will be the rear end then I will be down without a car again. (yes I could find another 10 bolt cheap im sure...)

or

Do i buy a beater... let the trans am sit under a car cover and save the 80 miles round trip to school and back every week? Any info would be appreciated..

as it sits

I say fins yourself a beater Matt especially the amount of driving find a old civic or corolla or maybe a metro and get 40mpg then you will be saving money in gas.
