FYI

The QuickTime is 12-13lbs lighter.

I had the McLeod and have had the car on a diet, so I bought a Quicktime and weighed them back to back. It is real.

I have not installed it or the motor yet though, so I can not comment on the fit.

what are the weight of each since you weighed them both??? also are you selling the McLeod since you have the quicktime one now?? do they both reuse the stock hydraulics and fork setup??? thanks for the reply

edit....you are talking about a LT1 style correct?

I don't beleive Quicktime offers a bolt on bell specific to the LT-1 trans. They do offer one for the LS but not the LT.

It becomes necessary when you pull onto the track if you value your feet. Seriously tho, if you're launching a car hard on slicks or any type of sticky dr for that matter its deffinately a good idea.

Sticky tires on the track. If you never have seen a clutch explode, consider yourself lucky. A clutch coming apart will rip right through your stock bell and through your floor like nothing. Most of the time, it will do physical harm to you as well, even if the clutch misses your foot/leg, more than likely some type of debris will hit you somewhere. I have been at the track when it happened to a guy I was pitted with, and he lost his little toe. After looking at his car, he was LUCKY that he only lost his toe. Just picture a chainsaw and running a stick of butter over it to get an idea of what it will do, not pretty. So, again, if you don't want to take chances, anytime at the track with sticky tires is a good idea, regardless of HP.
