A few T56 questions, if I try to run a t56 how hard to go auto later ? Hey guys, I have a few questions. I recently purchased a t56 to go with my 6.0 motor, now I have an ls1 and have the option of using the t56 or going with the 4l60e. I want to try the t56 but am not sure the condition its in. I checked the input shaft for damage and for play in the shaft itself, both checked out fine. One of my questions is if I use t56 and it has bad gears or doesnt shift well how difficult would it be to go auto later, is it a simple, take out and install or do I have to change my wiring harness and cpu? How long do t56 clutches last, is it worth even trying or does it require to much work to not know if the trans works? The reason I ask the last question is because the auto trans has a warranty and I have really no indication the t56 will work well at all. Thanks for the feedback and info guys.
