Default Does anyone know the break-in period for a SPEC Stage 3 clutch?

As the title says. I just ordered a SPEC Stage 3 clutch last week and its going to arrive here on Thursday. I plan on driving my car 2 hours to Philly on Saturday for a car cruise. What is the break-in period for this type of clutch? The car probably will not be back together until Friday so I will have to take it easy on Sat.

Probably approx 300-500 miles. But needs good stop and go traffic, not just highway miles, as the clutch needs to be engaged and disengaged several times for things to mate up properly.

I did 500 on my SPEC2+, and it works marvelously so far.

spec says 300-500 on most of the clutches. PM Jeremy @ spec (spec-01 i believe) for more info.

the chatter on my spec 1 is almost gone now. its been 10,000 miles since it was installed.

Hey guys...the suggested break-in period is 500 miles of city driving. This is idealy done in with as much shifting as possible because it is intended to seat the material. This information can be found on the Break-In sheet that we send with every kit we produce...if you didn't receive it I apologize. Let me know if you need anything further. Thanks!

Im sure the sheet is in the box...its just that the box will not get here until tomm. Just wanted to know ahead of time, thanks for the response!

Also 500 mile of no beating or how does that work? Just generally take it easy?

Yeah no beating on it. Just normal take offs, and shifting through the gears. No hard launches slipping the clutch.

Good old, safe, slow, responsible driving. LOL

I drove mine up and down a stretch with tons of stop lights, boring yes, but insured it was worn in correctly. Now if I could just get the ***** to adjust my tick master myself, or find time to have LMR do it.
