Shifter off tranny?? anyone got advise on how the hell to get the stock hurst shifter off the tranny?? Its on there like a freaking rock and wont even budge trying to pry it with a flathead screwdriver

hit it with a rubber mallet on the shifter handle....or grab the shifter with the **** on and pull steady upward....
just be sure not to break ur hand hitting it on the roof when it decides to let go....
i used the rubber mallet on mine when i got it and worked great
