Why would you buy a USED slave? All teh work that you have to do to change it out is just not worth it. Used MC I could see (but still would not do it) but a slave, no way. That being said, could be PB also. Either way, tranny is coming out, again.

Because the motor was out anyways and I needed to change it so it wasnt a big deal, and for your information it was some guy on here with like 200 tr and I got it for like 50bucks. Didn't have $200 to blow on a stupid slave at the time. So it wasnt "all the work" we had to do to change it.

Easy trigger. Just because you did not do your homework, no reason to get fired up at me. New slave is @ $75. Not sure where you pulled $200 from. That is why I asked why you would buy a used one, since new one's are so cheap. "all the work" you have to do now is pull teh tranny again, regardless of how easy it was teh first time (even more so the reason to install a new one in teh 1st place)
Wasn't trying to step on toes, just asking a simple question. Maybe you didn't know they were so cheap (obviously not if you thought they were $200) now you do.

I can't do that (provide a direct link), but I can tell you where: Advance Auto Parts has it for that price.

Also, if you want a GM slave (like in, from the dealer) you can pay a little bit more (than teh Advance Auto price), but ALOT cheaper than $300 right here:

www.tick-performance.com

They are a sponsor on LS1tech (why I can provide a direct link to them)and carry teh GM slave.

...Buying a part that goes inside your motor or tranny from advanced isnt even a option, are you serious? A used slave with 100k miles I would put in my car before buying a advanced autozone crap like that. IM TALKING GM slaves, not the advanced crap. And the slave is still around $200 with shipping from tick.. so that's still alot. And you could say advanced parts are the same but I beg to differ for actual parts you need. I would never buy something like a slave or master or window motor and etc from them

OK man. Won't argue with you. But that is why you are in this situation in teh 1st place isn't it, because of that mindset And evidently you can't add either. Try to be nice and help you out, and all you can throw is attitude. Go ahead and go buy another used slave

Maybe you don't know what a slave cylinder is? Last time I checked, it was nowhere INSIDE a motor OR tranny.

Ok.. neither is a window motor and I still wouldn't buy that crap from autozone. The point is you need to drop the tranny to get to it, I don't want to do that for a shitty autozone one. and no, I didnt add wrong, with shipping it's still around $200.

Does it make the same noise with the clutch depressed or only with the clutch released in neutral?

If it turns out to be the throwout bearing, I have a brand new one you can have for the cost of shipping, say $5. All you have to do is pop the lip of the throwout bearing over the tab on the slave and it'll come right off. Let me know.

It makes the noise anytime it seems when in neutral or clutch in or out. When I start to accelerate it goes away as if pressure is bearing put on whatever bearing it is when it begins to move and then it stops the noise. Everything is working fine "knock on wood" it's just the noise gets annoying lol
