Default wll it hurt anything

my buddy has had his trans out for a couple of months will his adjustable master and slave still be good ?

Yes. They are both sealed units, so even if the fluid was drained for some reason, the residual fluid would still be enough to keep the internal seals from drying up.

But, if the slave is old now is the time to replace it especially if he's done a clutch swap etc.
