Went to replace the Slave, help IDing clutch please.
Background story: Bought the car less than 2 weeks ago. The owner I bougth the car from was told that the guy he bought it from installed a "RAM stage 2 clutch"
Car has always had the sticking pedal syndrome. Replace Master- does not fix.
So, I do some research, decide that because I'm not a fan of drilling the factory line I will do the "cheap aftermarkert" clutch hose mod, along with a GMPP slave.
My parts came in today. Pull the trans, and start to inspect the clutch pressure plate. No RAM markings anywhere. Just "LUK" Everything looks like it has been in there for a while. Slave looks to be OE.
Did some research, appears this is an Autozone Set....
Or did I get lucky and the PO installed the LS7 clutch??
Here is a pic of it. (Crappy quality...Camera phone)
So, should I let the car sit for 2 weeks maybe a month until I can afford a NICE clutch? Or just let it slide?
The clutch felt fine, never slipped or anything.
Thanks, Chris
