Kragen or Autozone flywheels, has anyone tried them? And would you recomend it.

I am running one but only make about 400 rwhp. "Better" to run a billet if making big power.

with $100 core charge mine cost $30 at Kragen

I wouldn't run either of them. 99% of the **** from the auto parts store is cheap made in China crap.

You're much better off getting an OEM GM flywheel or a reputable aftermarket one (Ram, Zoom, ect.).

My understanding is that both these parts are simply resurfaced and cleaned. Some have new starter gears, but most are only cleaned and resurfaced. You can get that done locally pretty cheaply IMO. I think the only advantage for these parts is if you don't live near a machine shop or don't want to have any downtime when doing the swap.
