Default Disapointing T56 swap

Recently performed a T56 swap on a 98 Trans Am. the trans and hydraulics are from a 99 approx 70k. My clutch is am Extrailia single disc.

My problem is in spite of numerous attempts to bleed the hydraulics both 2 man and with mighty vac. It feels good and fully releases but only does so a few times before the pedal starts going to the floor and I cant get it in gear. If I let it sit a few days it will be back to normal... a few more uses and its back to the floor. I dont see any leaks in the system... yet

Anyone have similar problems?... solutions?

Are the 98-00 and 01-02 hydraulics compatible with each other?

Did you do the Drill Mod? I would clean the Hydraulic Line out, sound like there is something stuck in it and it gets hung up.

When I did my swap I bought new stuff..

I know I should have bought new but money was tight and so on... If I get a MC for 01-02 would it be compatible with the 98-00 SC. I dont see why it wouldnt be.

The master cylinders should all be the same, 98-02. However, the slave cylinder design was improved for the 01-02 cars, so its desireable to get a slave for an 01-02 car. The OEM GM slave cylinder that is currently sold is the updated design.

Sounds to me like your master cylinder has failed based on the fact that the system bleeds off pressure as you are using it. The master itself is easy to change, its getting to it thats the problem - you have to work based on feel since its located below the brake booster where you can't even see it.

Getting the MC in and out of this car was one of the most frustrating things I did... right up there with taking the damn thing apart and putting it back together.

I did manage to drive it today... it started out good but shifting became very notchy quickly. When I came to a stop the car started pulling thru the brakes as the clutch slowly bled down.
