Default bought all parts for t56 swap, is it too much of a hassle

I just bought all the parts to swap a 00 trans am into a manual car. It seems like it to much of a hassle after reading the threads. What's your opinion?
I bought the following parts out of a 00 black trans am:
console, pedals, t-56
I think I still need the wiring harness out of the manual car.

It's not too bad..you don't necessarily need a Manual Wiring Harness, an Auto one can be converted very easily.

Here is a thread that will help you..

I swapped mine over 3 years ago now, and my only regret was not getting a 6-speed in the first place!!!

Seriously, it's NOT that complicated to get it swapped and driveable. I had mine done in a weekend, by myself. The only thing(s) I never got working since (never cared to, haven't taken the time to) was cruise control (doesn't work at all - I never tapped into the computer pin #?? to make it work) and reverse lock-out (I hooked up a manual switch instead of tapping into the computer). Normally I don't bother "switching" off reverse lock-out though ... it's not that hard to push over. And secondly, I RARELY drive with cruise anyway, so it's not something I miss at all in the Camaro.

If you WANT to have the 6-speed, then just DO IT!!
