M6 4x4 Tahoe After changing the camaro to a m6 than driving my tahoe I thought that would be a cool ride with a T-56. Has anyone ever done this swap and how does it work with fourwheel drive also what about the auto shifter and would it lose towing ability?

all you would need is an adapter from the trans to the transfer case...and places to put the master cyl and what not. Prolly wont lose any towing or anything since there are manual tow rigs out there. I thought of something similar to this, as in putting my LS1/T56 in my toyota and keeping it 4wd

The T-56 is pretty long, besides the shifter being in a weird location the under truck would be very different.
As far as I know, there is NO adapter to mate a T-56 to any T-case. This would mean you will need a divorced case to make the 4x4 work, there in lies 3 shafts the front would be long. The rear would be VERY short.
If it's even slightly lifted the rear drive-shaft angle WILL be HORRIBLE. Unless you shell out big buck to clock, drop, or purchase a drop t-case. The most common of those is the SCS brand cases, either chain or gear driven. Those are ball park 2k....
Would it be cool? Yes
Would it be fun? most definelty?
Is it really worth it? Personally I don't think so.
If your stuck on making it a stick, go with a SM465( 4 speed) Or a NV4500 (5 Speed) The NV4500 actually came factory in tahoe, so it would be a relatively simple swap.

Sorry, after reading your signature. I'm 98% positive that the 2000 year tahoes NEVER came in a stick shift flavor. And Being it an LSX based motor you WILL need an aftermarked bellhousing to make either of the trans that I listed work.
Check out advance adapters they specialize in these kind of swaps. I looked on their website, and they don't list any LSX adapters. Which does not make sense, but it may be worth it to call.
