Default Cluth fluid change ?

Can one suck all the clutch fluid out with the mighty vac http://performanceworks1.com/ls1_clutch_bleeding.htm to have the fluid replaced? I am having a hell of a time finding the bleeder. I can not get my arm in where ever it is?

you wont get all the fluid out because it's a sealed system. the bleeder is about 1.5" above where the master line connects to the slave. yes it's a bitch to get to because it really doesnt protrude out of the bellhousing, it sits flush with the case.

you may want to try loosening the trans mount bolts so the tranny can move to the passenger side a little. the bleeder size is 11mm and I was able to get a small socket (non-deep well) with a 3/8" drive ratchet on it.

the problem you might be having is that the bleeder might be touching the lower part of the opening in the bellhousing and therefore the socket wont slide over it. then the trans will have to be removed to bleed it.

good luck on the job, it's frustrating under there,

take a look at any of the sponsor sites...you can see what the master looks like and from there you'll see where the bleeder is in relation to the connection.

Found that pig. I was looking way to high. It is not that hard to get to I would never cut a hole in my floor for that

Thanks
