Help putting 6 spd setup into Auto body

Default Help putting 6 spd setup into Auto body

Ok heres the deal had a automatic roller and a running 6 spd lt1 car with rough body.I dropped motor and tranny out the bottom and moved it over to the auto car and cut the hole and all.It wont start and i cant figure out why? Im guessing its the NSS but can't figure out what I need to rewire

Did you do any rewiring at all? If you didn't wire the neutral start switch, then that's what's keeping you from starting it. You can temporarily splice those two wires together to start it. That should be the only wiring issue keeping it from starting. Everything else is negligible.

Also read I have to drop the steering column and remove a cable is this true?

Remember the 6 wire connector that originally went to the A4 shifter? Well, take the 12 ga brown and yellow wires (the biggest ones). Those go to the switch.

I'm not sure what you mean by dropping the column to get at wires though. I had to pull it to get the pedals in, but you can do all the wiring with it in. It's just a little harder.

the neutral safety switch was originally on the A4 shifter in the console, if your clutch pedal doesn't have a switch that it trips at the very bottom of it's travel, you need to get that one, and as said above, the biggest wires from the original switch in the console (brown and yellow) need to be wired to that switch on the pedal
