Default trouble pullin t56 outta 02 ss camaro

i was trieng to pull my t56 out of my 02 camaro ss and i got all the bolts out of the bellhousing. Any reason why its not comin out? Is there an easier way to put a t56 out ?

You dont have to disconnect the bell housing to remove the tranny. The tranny actually disconnects from the bellhousing. If you go this route, you have to pull the tranny away from the bellhousing about 5 inches, then remove the 2 10mm bolts holding the slave on. Check some of the clutch install guides so you can see pics. Installuniversity.com has some.

the tranny tends to get stuck, almost fused to the motor... esp if its the first time its being pulled. just make sure you get all the bolts out, put a support under the trans, and pull/shake it like a ****. tho i wouldnt recommend it unless you really know what ur doing, what i actually do split it off was work an old machete (yes, machete) into the seam. just keep in mind there are gonna be 2 dowel pins.

thanks but sence im changing the clutch i woul have to separte the bell housin from motor and mot bellhousing from tranny?

I always separate trans from the bell then take the bell of the motor. trans comes out easier that way. Whoever a lot of times the bell will fuse to the motor on the dowel pins and is a PITA to get off

If its the first time I bet its the dowel pins that are giving the hard time. Mine was a pita the first time too
