resurfacing flywheel
on a 98 LS1 can you resuface the flywheel without any problems?ive heard of shimming and i also have an adjustable master is that enough to compensate for the material removed?

The short answer is: Yes. You can resurface the flywheel.
The more in depth answer has some qualifications:
You have to be careful when machining the OE flywheel because if you remove too much material or you will affect the clutch assemblies overall height. Taking any more than .015" out of the flywheel's thickness will bring the engagement point down and as a result impact the clutches release.
Has the flywheel been resurfaced before? Do you know how much material they removed?
