Default Good deal??

Hey guys i have a quick question for ya. A friend of mine has offered to sell me a T-56 out of a wrecked 94 T/A. Here is whats included. T-56 transmission, driveshaft, slave cylinder, steering column, pressure plate and clutch, and throw out bearing. He is asking for $650 for all of it. I dont know of the condintion of the transmission. The odometer in the car said 150,000 but it went into all gears smoothly. What do you guys think deal or no deal?

depends on if you have plans for it... 3 years ago I got one at a local junk yard for 1,000. the donating car had 36,000 on the clock. I also got all parts I needed off of the car to swap from an auto to a 6spd. While it doesn't sound like a bad deal.. it doesn't sound great considering that and a few years have passed since then. Unless the T-56 has gone up in thsoe years. But IIRC 94 is the best year for the T56, still a borg warner unit with the 0.51 6th gear ratio.
Didn't notice the steering column and driveshaft part.. what do you need those for? Sounds better with that included though . Just make sure if you swap columns to swap your ignition over or get a copy of his key and get the resistor number written down for the new key.

Thats a lot of miles on a stock unit. I would be prepared for a rebuild.
