Default GMM Shifter

I have a freshly rebuilt T56 from a 2002 Camaro. My friend has a 2005 GTO with a GMM shifter and it is awesome, so I bought the same shifter. Now the transmission seems to shift into 1,3,5 very firmly; however when I shift to 2,4,6 it feels like the car could jump out of gear at any time (even with the stop removed). Is there a difference in the shifters for a GTO and a F body?

Default

Not necessarily the shifter, but the piece in the tranny that the shifter drops into needs to be replaced with the one out of the Goat tranny. Pretty simple from what I've heard. Also, keep in mind that the ratios are different than the stock Goat ratios, and the M12 out of the GTO's is a little stronger tranny with better syncros.
