lou's short stick ? Hey everybody,i got a short stick for xmas and installed it today on my pro 5.0 shifter.Is it me or does the boot seem to sit super low now?My car is parked for the winter so i couldn't go and test drive it but it sure seemed like i had to push to the right fairly hard to find reverse.This must be from the lack of leverage now.Anyone else have these issues?

It shouldnt be any harder to find reverse though.... But if you were trying it out without the key on, or the car running, you were probably fighting reverse lock out. Im not 100% sure when the PCM disables it, but I think its any time you are under a certain speed, and certainly while sitting still. So try it with the key on, or the engine started and see if its easier.

I just installed on on my lt1 style t56 and it seems to be a good shifter, not sure if it is because it is in a 3rd gen but kinda think it is taller then I like it too be
