Default Need help asap! Master cylinder rod.

So im driving down the road annd notice my clutch starts getting hard to push in. Didnt think much of it until the clutch pedal didnt want to go in at all. I shift into 3rd and the pedal sticks to the floor, im thinking great, im low on fluid or have none at all. Manage to make it home, just didnht stop and shifted without the clutch, ran a few lights but I had no other choice. Get home and check the fluid level, full. Go and try to pull the clutch pedal off of the floor it comes up with ease. I notice fluid on my floor mat I look up and see the rod has snapped right at the bend off of the clutch pedal? Does this happen often? I mean i have a big foot but damn?! Do I have to buy a whole new master? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
