Anyone install one of these kits? Anyone ever DIS-assembled one?
I just put together my first one and the friggin 5/6/R shaft slipped off the engagement cam.. Ok, no big deal I think. I tap the roll pin back out and WHAM, it bottoms out on the detent ball.. WTF... I pull out the other 3 roll pins in the kit and a stock pin and notice it's a full 3/16" shorter than the kit pins...
Now I have to waste a whole drilling out a hardened roll pin and grind the rest of the pins down 3/16"...
Is it just my usual luck and I got the wrong pins, or are folks just putting in these kits not realizing that they can't be disassembled?
Better let Keisler be aware of that issue real fast!
