Default Ripper shifter stop screws do I need them?

Trans is a t56 fully built by liberty. Have the ripper shifter installed - do I need to have those stop screws in place?? Anyone have problems with these stop screws like missed shifts?

Yes you need them. It won't prevent missed shifts but they will prevent you from throwing too far and damaging your blocker rings, syncros, etc. The shifter can get jammed in a gear with out the stoppers.

If adjusted properly, it doesn't hurt anything to have them there.
