Default Question about the 6spd 2010 Camaro SS

Does it FORCE you to shift to 4th gear or is it just optional? My Z06 it was optional, my CTS-V forced you to shift into 4th. If it's like my CTS-V I need to get a skip shift for it.

I think he's asking if the 2010 Camaro M6 has skip shift. I do not have an answer however.

Yes, Yes it does. You can feel it too. Blows *****. And the center of the of the gauge cluster show a digital 1-4 picture when it happens. Wife was always complaining about it.

HP Tuners and 5 minutes later, problem solved.

The question was directed at people that would know what I was talking about. If you had one you would know exactly what I was talking about.

That being said, a Google search didn't help because I already knew it HAD a skip shift, but wasn't sure what KIND of skip shift it was. Like I said, my Z06 popped up on the DIC and had a 1-4 icon and it was OPTIONAL to shift from 1st to 4th, but the CTS-V FORCED you to shift (ie - second and third were blocked by the transmission).

I was wondering which of the two the Camaro has.

Probably the same seloniod that they have been using for years. An eliminator or tune should be what you need.

I'm assuming it's the same as how it was on the f-body's, 2nd and 3rd are blocked off thus forcing you to shift to 4th. Instead of buying an eliminator I had my manager at the dealership I used to work at just hook his laptop up to my car and get rid of it.
