gto bellhousing??

Default gto bellhousing??

ok guys ordered my new monster clutch last night to go behind my lq4....now i have a bellhousing off a gto(04-06 style) to mount my t56, i heard some where . i had to use a gto starter?? i want to order that too but dont want to order the wrong one....is there any differance? i cant find any info? i thought all ls1/ls2 bell's were the same?? thanks!

ok looking on ebay looks like the gto starter may be a bit smaller, thinking maybe??? the opening for the starter nose is smaller on the gto? was also thinking maybe a mini starter would be fine?
whats all the gto guys on here using?
anyone????

Some of the GTO guys grind the bell housing to use the F-body starter because it is a lot cheaper. You could go either way, but most of the GTO's have the GTO starter on them.

ahh makes sense....i did notice where the nose of the starter goes in is very ,very thick compared to the rest of the bell....i'll probally try the grinding... thanks~!

i ended up ordering a ls1 mini starter so i dont think i'll have to grind it doesnt have a nose...we'll see!
