Default Street twin break in procedure?

I just got a street twin in the mail and there are no instructions about breaking the clutch in (just how to install it).

Are there are any procedures to follow?

that was the break in lol and a buddy of mine put one in his 02 WS6 and decided to put slicks on it and go to the nearest wal-mart and try to launch it and ended up splittlin his driveshaft in 3 different places. but the clutch was fine had the same clutch in it for 3 years after that. we are avid mcleod lovers and have never broken them in, just install it and go. by far the best clutches we have ever used and would not use anything else ESPECIALLY spec lol

Ive always did a few good nights of cruising. Stop and go traffic and some highway driving. On my Textralia I had I think I was told 500 miles of street driving for break in.

you can call Mcleod tech and ask

The clutch disc material is organic so typically that material needs very little break in if any. My $02 is to drive it for a few heat/cool cycles just to let the friction material settle to FW and PP surfaces.

I'm sorry for your friends misfortune but that is pretty funny. The "original street twin" will find the weak link in your drivetrain, that's for sure. We recommend 500 miles of stop and go driving. Alternating RPM as much as possible.
