Default skip shift help

Installed skip shift plug and play,(SLP) now I have SES code P1657 ECM has detected an improper voltage level on the output driver module for the skip shift 1 to 4 shift solenoid. Is this common or is the plug and play bad? If this code is active the whole time this is installed, I will take it back out. I hate looking at that SES light. Thanks for any input. Barney

sounds like its not plugged in all the way or defective. The device is just a plug and resistor. (Could be a bad resistor.)

you may have bent one of the pins in the skip shift solenoid connector. id check that first. silly putty works well, press it on to make an indentation of the connector.

my reverse lockout quit and thats how i found that i had bent one of the pins. straightened it out and no problems.
