Default Anyway to un-adjust a SAC LS7 pressure plate?

I thought I read somewhere how to do it but I cant find it. I pulled the clutch out of my car and I'm trying get a measurement but when I torqued the pressure plate back to the flywheel, its pulling the diagram down way to far. Not sure what the issue is cause I know it didn't look like that when I pulled it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You need to depress the spring in a shop press supporting the cover so the friction surface does not touch the press. You should be able to move the adjustment both ways, but turing it to compress the small springs is the way it should start out life. It will adjust down to mate up to the disk if it's slightly worn, etc. If that makes sense (had to describe without pictures)
