Default slave replacement

sounds stupid but I've heard 2 different stories, so do you have to take bell housing and all off to replace slave and throw out bearing or can you just pull trany out and leave bell housing attached to engine?

I believe you just have to pull the tranny. Either way, the bell housing takes like 5 minutes to get off.

...and then you unbolt the slave from the front of the trans and replace it, then put it back together. i usually bleed the slave while it hangs from the master line before its slid over the input shaft. i use 2 quick clamps to compress the slave, clip the line together, let it hang and open the bleeder. it will gravity bleed. then close the bleeder, undo the clamps, and install. never had any problems with air in the system this way.

no you cant, the lt1 is not the same style.
