Default why, does MC go bad?

OK,
now that i know the 2004 McLeod Clutch Master Cylinder in my car died,
the Rubber Puck deteriorated, letting air in.

WHY? why does this happen?

i have never had a BRAKE MC go bad,
nor any STOCK Clutch MC go bad.

whats up? anybody know why?

thx
mike

status,
it is a 2000 ss camaro, with 45,000 miles on it today.
i replace the MC in 2004, with 15,000 miles,
so
the MC has 30,000 miles on it.

i do very many NASA TT events, MC autocross events,
and many MFBA Road America events. lot of race track miles.
