DD told me to run mobil one synthetic ATF in mine from day one , so i am and it works great, took a littel while to break it in but now its smooth as butter and thats with a pro 5.0 shifter that every one says shifts hard.

I use oreilly dex 3 fluid, it been 2 day, and im happy with it. Since it so cheap and easy to change ( when I say easy, cause I use the pump ), I can change it out every oil change or so.

LOL @ that Google link! That's freaking awesome! I am so sick of reading about transmission fluid threads for the T56. I found that if 10 people are asked what's the best fluid to use, you will get 15 different answers. Nobody really knows....not even GM it seems. I'm staying with the cheap, non-synthetic Dex III, thanks.
