Default Which clutch??? HELP FAST!

Going on a H/C/I/E. Just wondering what the best bang for the buck is while leaving plenty of room for more power later on.

Thought I had it narrowed down to a monster stage 3 until I read about them squealing on DD cars. Car has never been to the track just a fun street car but want something reliable and good for DD.

Car is sitting now waiting for clutch so help asap!

My experience with same setup you got had and getting rid of spec stay away from spec junk. I had and own 3 spec stage 3 clutches first clutch last 3 years and the last 2 spec clutches for less than a year. Damn clutch springs keep popping out of clutch. And my Friend Chris with a 98 Trans Am put a stage 3 clutch in his car. He nevers gets on the car and never races the car at all stupid clutch went out. Pulled the clutch out and sent it in for warranty. Spec denied warranty on it and told him that the clutch was severly worn out. Clutch had alot of material left still on the clutch and pressure plate and fly wheel had the normal clutch break in and wear on it. They wouldnt help him out at all. poor customer service.

The LS7 won't hold up if you beat on it often.

Look into a diamond clutch ,they are awesom just installed one in my buddies bolt on car (stage 2) good up to 600hp and the clutch grabbes awesome. If you need something for more power look at there stage 3 good for 700rwhp and Jason at TDP is awesome to work with and backs his stuff up.

+984763828234 for monster. I have a stage 4 in my gto. I absolutely love it. The tick performance master cylinder is a must IMO as well. It will make your trans/clutch last longer by increasing the flow of hydraulic fluid to the slave cylinder.

There are countless options available and countless supporters of each manufacture. But, it all comes down to the product. The quality of the components, the way the parts are built and the way that the parts perform. We have sold over 20,000 LS based clutch kits over the years, offering 7 different single disc options, 4 different Super-Twins, and 3 different mini-twin assemblies that allow us to cater to everything from the customer looking for stock-like drivability, to the customer seeking the highest capacity option for his Twin-Turbo's nitrous beast. Talk to some of our customers about their kits and be the judge of what suits your needs. If you have any questions don't hesitate to give me a call or drop me an email and I will be more than happy to assist you. Thanks!

I posted this for another member looking for a new clutch, and its
Just my 2cents,
I've have the Monster Level5 WITHOUT ONE ISSUE.You can see my numbers in my Sig.When i first broke in the clutch,1st gear had very little chatter(very little) and that is with the L5.I did the proper break-in and to date NO Chatter.
I know that this clutch(Level5) is probley a lil excessive for you but I couldn't be happier with Monster.Their customer service is top notch as well.
I know the Spec3 i had prior to the Monster, was pretty decent. But I eventually had clutch slip in the higher RPM's (where I make most boost). The Monster still grabs like a ****!I never compared them side-by-side thou.
I've had Spec3,Centerforce Dual Friction, and now the Monster.
All I can say is for what you get for your money,I will probley never buy anything but.
I would think a Level2 orLevel3 (If you take it to the track 1/2 the time)?

Moz, what kind of torque were you making when the clutch slipped. How many miles were on the kit? You seem to make it out to indicate that the clutch let you down but info about the specifics of the situation is certainly relative...don't you think?

Spec 01,The torque was around 575/580RWTQ (Old Set-Up) at the time with around 6000 miles on it.Just thought it would of held up longer before it started slipping in the 5500-6300rpm range. It was slipping because if I would spin the motor in 3rd or 4th to 5000rpms and let off,No Clutch Smell. When I brought it up to 5500rpm's (and above),Clutch Smell.

Did you call for an RMA or send any pics of the parts to us for assessment. If not, and you have some send them my way and perhaps I can shed a little light on the situation. As always I am happy to assist...I think that is pretty clear based on my post history. Let me know if you have any further questions.
