Default Friction Disc Question

Hey guys, I put a new LS7 clutch assemby in my 99TA and it's just not grippy enough for my tastes. It's got less then 300 miles on it.

Can I just swap the friction disc out for one that grabs better or will I have to swap the pressure plate as well? I'm not very familiar with interchanging clutch parts. Any help would be appreciated.

Well you could, i dont believe you would need to swap your pressure plate as long as its a full faced disk. Now if you were to swap to a 6 puck disk for example, you would probably need to swap pressure plates to one that has a higher clamp pressure. Are you thinking of going to a dual friction type or a full ceramic disk?

IDK, I'm trying to keep it cheap if possible. It's not a daily driver and I'd like to chirp 3rd.
