Default autometer electric speedo: wired to VSS?

I have a t56 in my GN, and i heard you can wire the electric autometer speedometer into the VSS somehow so I don't have to buy the autometer adapter. Is this true? If not, then which adapter do i need to buy?

If you have an Autometer electronic speedometer, the T56 VSS signal will connect directly to it and work fine. No conversion needed.

Do you have the installation manual for the Speedo?

Covers it all...
