Default Need Help-Is it possible to overpush the TO bearing on a T56

I have been plaqued by shifting issues when at the road racetrack, and running hard. I'm at my wits end. I have troubles upshifting 4-5, and downshiffting 5-4 when at 165mph 5500-6000 rpms-- hot running

I have a LSx motor mated to a T56 6 spd, with a Corvette LS type TO-slave (Mazda RX-7)

Here's what I have inside:
GM throwout slave, with a Tick remote bleeder, which I bleed all the time.

Tilton 7/8 master cylinder, independant fluid reservoir, with a SS line running to the TO. Piston rod on the MC is adjustable for length-- pedal is at the farthest adjustment for piston movement- maxed out. I DO NOT NEED THE DRILL MOD.

Centerforce racing clutch with nodular iron 18# flywheel. (Did the same things when i was running stock Z06 clutch components). T56 rebuilt with "cobra" shifting components.

I can get up to another 1/2" on pedal movement if I remove the pedal stop device on the Mazda floor. Is it possible to overpush the MC piston, or over push the TO bearing.

Correction: i'm using a Wilwood 7/8" bore MC

It looks like the piston travel in and out of the MC is as far as it goes. The only way to move more fluid volume would be to go up to a 1" bore MC, and back off if needed on the piston travel.

Again the question is, will the TO bearing travel just stop at it's limit of travel against the clutch, or can it be "overpushed"

How to determine if the TO is pushing enough for clutch release??

to find out if clutch is fully releasing sit on level ground with the clutch in, put the car in first, and rev to 6k rpm. if the car moves forward at all the clutch is dragging.

if the slave is extending too far you can cause damage to the pressure plate by overextending the fingers

Not sure that I feel comfortable revving to 6000 rpm sitting still.

Really,I need an explanation for why, it is hard to shift at high RPMs, and high temps, so I can fix the cause(s). I am already maxed on my MC piston travel

Seems like a common problem with the T56, with no soilid answers.

Creepers post above is a common test to see if your clutch is totaly dis-engaging, which will determine if that is the cause of your shifting issue.

?

do you know how many miles are on the trans? did you have it rebuilt?

until you find out if your clutch is fully disengaging you can't really do much more troubleshooting
