so i have a 98 Z28 that i bought recently, it's bone stock, with 102k miles on it. it has stock 16" wheels, with itty bitty stock tires on the back, and it was slightly wet pavement, i ran it up in first to about 4700-4800 and grabbed for 2nd and it was nowhere to be found! wtf??? it was 100% gone! the car still drives fine in all of the other gears, but when you put it in 2nd and let out the clutch it's like it's in neutral. you can feel it go into gear, and you can tell the clutch is all the way engaged, but there is nothing there.

anyone else have an issue like this???

You ripped the engaugement teeth off the gear. Its common on the older style 2nd gears in the T56. Replace it with an updated gear and it won't happen again.

Correct! The engagement teeth on the new style 2nd are about 2x longer than the old.
