Question Grinding 5th

Ok. I'm new to having a manual transmission. I bought this car back in June, had it 6 days and blew the engine. I had it rebuilt and had a new clutch put in it at the same time. I don't know which one. It worked fine for a couple of months, but now 5th gear grinds sometimes, especially at higher rpms. Is this a transmission problem or a clutch problem?

Is the Reverse lockout in good working order? Does it only grind on up-shifts, or down-shifts, or both?

How high RPMs are you shifting into 5th? 120+mph ???

Its a tranny problem. Most likely a worn synchro assembly. If you have any more questions or need it rebuilt, feel free to gimme a holler. I'm in your area, just check my sig..

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna have to drive it as is right now. I'll just have to be careful of 5th until i can save up enough for a rebuild.
